I typically buy Olive wood in slabs from Highland Hardwoods, which has an extensive offering of exotic woods.  A slab allows me more flexibility in sawing and crafting my products.

The live-edge Olive shelves are created from the outer edges of the slab.  And the diamond-shaped candle holders and herb strippers come from the multiple scraps.

Olive has become one of my favorite woods because of its beautiful grain and workability.  It also brings back great memories of my awesome trip to Israel in 2016 with a church group.
